Vineyard RV Park is located halfway between Citrus Heights and the city of San Francisco, making it an ideal place to stay while you visit both locations. Sacramento is also an easy half hour drive east. Simply follow Interstate 80 southwest from Citrus Heights, and continue driving for 40 miles past Sacramento to reach this idyllic spot near the Napa Valley. Discover your immediate surroundings with trips to local wineries and many stellar golf courses. Bring your RV, as there?s also a place to refill your propane tank and a dumping station. Visitors can also rent one of many cozy cabins that are available. The entire park is equipped with free WiFi, and most sites also have free cable television. Activities and amenities on-site include restrooms with showers, a big swimming pool, two off-leash dog walks, a playground, a clubhouse for larger groups, and a catch-and-release fishing pond. Guests are also welcome to use the horseshoe pits and volleyball court.
SacWest RV Park & Campground in West Sacramento, California is an exciting location for a family excursion or an overnight stay. The campground has a staff devoted to maintaining a comfortable atmosphere and superb amenities. There are excellent sites with 30/50 amp supplies for pull-thru accommodations with room for vehicles up to 105?. The pool is heated from March thru October. There is a recreation room, dog park, and fishing waters close by. Campers will be happy to do their laundry in the excellent facilities on the grounds. Propane is available from staff. Campers will find that the campground is in a great location for travel to interesting attractions in the area. The staff organizes many activities at the park including bingo games, smores around the campfire, and crafts for kids. The playground is a great attraction for the children in the family.

The management leads a team that works to ensure that all of the facilities are operating properly to serve the needs of experienced archers as well as absolute beginners. The Pro Shop is an archer?s dream with the best brands available. Customers will find anything that an archer might want. The staff is ready to take care of traditional archers, those who use a compound hunter, and those who just want to shoot targets. All the arrow building supplies necessary are available from the experts in the store. In addition, the store has many arrow rests and sights to choose from. The expert staff organizes leagues that meet on a regular basis. There are classes for those just getting started and experienced archers who want to get some practice. The facilities include a well-lit indoor range with lanes for all guests.
You can relive the gold rush era at the Old Sacramento State Historic Park and explore 296 acres filled with 50 historic buildings. Old Sacramento?s fame lies in it being the last station of the Pony Express postal system in the west, which was the first transcontinental railroad. The historic park has more buildings of historical value than any other place in the West.
The California State Railroad Museum complex consists of six original, reconstructed, and new buildings. Over 225,000 square feet of total exhibit space, there are many things you can learn about the unique past and culture of the West. Many interactive exhibits demonstrate the importance of railroads in everyday life. The 21 restored locomotives include a Pullman style sleeping car and a Railway Post Office that visitors can actually board.
Tucked into San Joaquin Valley near Lodi, is the Flag City RV Resort. This is the perfect resort for the big boy RV?s with roomy sites on offer. Each site comes equipped with water and sewer, amp electric, direct TV, and site wide WIFI. A picnic area in each site ensures comfort and privacy for dining and relaxing. There is a total of 180 full hook-up sites, with 136 pull through available. Each site has a cement pad for your RV. Also onsite is a swimming pool, heated spa, clubhouse, library and convenience store. This park is wonderfully peaceful, and is the perfect spot to take the family for a trip. With 24-hour surveillance, your safety and security are very important to the staff here. Aside from the top notch facilities, there are also some wonderful attractions nearby such as the many vineyards in Lodi Country.
The first public art museum founded in the Western United States, today it's one of the most important art museums in California. Permanent fine art collections, and pieces from around the world such as Amazonian ceramics and African and Oceanic art. Year round there are many educational opportunities, performances and events such as the Crocker Ball. Even the building where the Crocker museum is located is a work of art, considered a California Historical Landmark forming part of the National Register of Historical Places.
This is the only RV park in Sacramento that is right on the river. You'll have a great view of the river, old growth trees that provide shade and the marina offers a place to take a dip and park your boat. There is an onsite convenience store and free wireless, but if you want a taste of town, Old Sacramento is just 10 minutes away. A nice destination in your RV rental.
