Discover Lake Hughes RV rentals for memorable road trips

The community of Lake Hughes is found on the periphery of Lancaster, California, between the cities of Bakersfield and Los Angeles. Lake Hughes is found within the confines of the Angeles National Forest. The tiny village was first settled after the dawning of the great gold rush in the middle of the 19th century, which would bring waves of migrants all the way across the community in search of prosperity. This area served as a homesteading hub because of its large reserve of freshwater.

Experience the Sites and Scenery

The town’s main attractions are certainly Lake Elizabeth and Hughes Lake. It is no secret that this community relies on these wonderful lakes for its recreation and tourism. Both of these lakes have exceptional recreation opportunities and places to camp in your Lake Hughes RV rental by owner. Interestingly enough, Lake Hughes is located within Angeles National Forest, a large swath of land featuring a few mountain ranges that overlook the Los Angeles metropolitan area.

Where to Park It

When you rent an RV in Lake Hughes, you are in luck; there are many places to camp nearby so it's a matter of personal preference where you choose to settle down. Hughes Lake Shore Park is in town and is a place to park alongside the lake. The park is not known for luxury or amenities but is more than a viable option that is easy to find.

City Attractions

Lake Hughes is hardly a place you would visit to enjoy a night on the town. In fact, there aren’t many attractions or places to eat as it is a small community consisting of cottages. If you love animals, there are two amazing facilities you can visit. The Quail Run Ranch is a fun ostrich farm where guests can interact with the strange creatures and feed them too. Shadowlands Foundation is the other animal facility in town but acts as more of a rehabilitation sanctuary rather than a zoo. This amazing organization rehabilitates and protects wolves, and is run by passionate people who want to educate people about the importance of these noble creatures.
