At the top, visitors are rewarded with spectacular vistas of the surrounding area, and with no natural features to impede your view, you might even be able to spot Half Dome in Yosemite National Park – with a good pair of binoculars, that is. Mount Diablo also has a rich history. You can learn more about it at the Summit Building and Museum, which houses several ancient fossils uncovered in the park. This park is also RV-friendly with full hookup sites available throughout the year, so you can settle in no matter when you rent an RV in Pittsburg. If it’s too hot to for hiking, find some reprieve from the California heat by booking a whitewater rafting trip with one of California’s original outfitters. With over ten rivers in the north-central portion of California to choose from, there’s bound to be an adventure for all thriller seekers. Exploring the City
Within the Pittsburg city limits, Small World Park is perfect for families with small children. Featuring a carousel, playground equipment, train, and fishing, this quaint amusement park is ideal for those seeking a little downtime. Visitors can also reserve the party castle or a picnic site for special occasions. Note that the park closes for the winter season and reopens for the spring/summer season in April, so be sure to time your visit accordingly.Take a plunge deep underground at the Black Diamond Mines Regional Preserve in nearby Antioch. This area has a rich history and has been home to various Native American tribes, settlers, coal miners, and sand miners. In fact, mines like these brought a great deal of prosperity to the early Californian economy. After touring the mines, enjoy a day hike through the park’s 6,096 acres. Just be sure to keep your eyes peeled for coyotes, snakes, deer, foxes, mountain lions, and bobcats. Both Small World Park and Black Diamond Mines are synonymous with the city, but the annual Pittsburg Seafood and Music Festival is perhaps its crowning jewel. This is considered one of the best festivals in Northern California, and each year in early September, thousands of visitors from near and far flock to Pittsburg to enjoy a fun-filled weekend of seafood, live music, and entertainment. Whether you get a camper rental in Pittsburg and stay for the weekend or just walk out the door of your apartment, come see what has been bringing together the masses for decades.Given its proximity to several rivers, bays, and the Pacific, it’s a no-brainer that seafood would be a big deal here. But even if you didn’t make it in time for the seafood festival, fret not. Pittsburg is considered one of the most ethnically diverse cities in Northern California, and its cuisine is no different. So no matter what you decide to eat or where you decide to park your RV rental in Pittsburg, you’ll definitely have a gnarly time.
Drives great, adaptive cruise control is helpful. Unlimited miles means no worries about distance. James answers all questions quickly before and during the rental.
My wife and I had an amazing time on our trip with Sid's van. The van was clean and very thoughtfully designed. It was easy to drive and had everything we needed to make our trip enjoyable. Sid was very communicative and professional. We would highly recommend renting this van and are looking forward to doing so again in the future.
As first-time RV renters and Outdoorsy users, we weren't sure what to expect — but this experience completely won us over. We took the Mercedes Entegra Qwest 24R down to KOA Santa Cruz for a weekend trip with our family. It was everything we hoped for and more! The RV was in excellent shape — well maintained, well stocked, and loaded with every feature you'd need to set up camp with ease. With the slide-out extended, the space felt genuinely roomy and comfortable. Sleeping arrangements were perfect: the Murphy bed and loft handled our family of three with room to spare, and the convertible dinette means you could easily accommodate more if needed. We even had enough space to have a few friends stop by, sip coffee, and let the kids watch a movie together. Everyone was comfortable in the space - it felt like a home away from home. The hosts were fantastic from start to finish. Pickup and drop-off were completely stress-free, and they provided thorough documentation and video support that made us feel confident operating everything. Any questions we had were answered quickly and helpfully. The best part? After the trip, our daughter asked if we could buy an RV. That says it all.If you're on the fence — whether a seasoned RVer or as a first-timer — don't hesitate. This is the perfect rig and the perfect hosting experience to start your RV journey.
