Outdoors Adventures

Take for example the nearby San Bernardino National Forest or Angeles National Forest, both of which border the Los Angeles metro area to the east and north respectively. The San Bernardino National Forest elegantly marries the harsh desert with the mountainous forests outside the city, with stunning mountain peaks that can be conquered by adventurous souls. San Jacinto Peak, in particular, makes for a difficult but ultimately rewarding trek. When you rent an RV in Twentynine Palms, both Angeles National Forest and San Bernardino Forest have lots to offer and are only a short drive away.
RV Parks to Visit
Finding a place to camp out in the desert is an easy dilemma to solve, especially with Joshua Tree National Park’s presence nearby. There are plenty of campgrounds found in the park alone that campers can utilize, like Indian Cove Campground, Sheep Pass Campground, Ryan Campground, and Belle Campground. These amazing campsites are spacious, with incredibly clear skies to gaze upon at night.
City Sightseeing
Although it is located way out in the desert, Twentynine Palms has some wonderful restaurants, breweries, shops, art galleries, and other fun attractions to keep you occupied in between desert excursions. Since Joshua Tree National Park is the largest attraction in or around town, it is only fair to mention the Oasis Visitor Center, an informative resource to learn about the desert before you head out into it. There are knowledgeable park rangers who can answer all your questions about the important desert ecosystems, and a shop to pick up nifty souvenirs for your friends and family back home.
