The Great Outdoors
Only a couple of miles west of the town is the Pinehurst Lake Conservation Area. This is a great place to spend some time, relaxing and enjoying the peace. The 23-acre lake is surrounded by forest and offers many activities, such as swimming, hiking, and fishing. Bring your RV rental from Drumbo here as camping is allowed in the area, and there are full-service sites available. Canoes and kayaks are allowed on the lake and available for hire at weekends. During the winter you can ice fish, snowshoe or go cross-country skiing along the marked trails.
RV Parks
Take your luxury RV rental from Drumbo just a few miles west, and you will find Willow Lake Campground and RV Park near Woodstock. This relatively small and secluded campground is perfect for a quiet vacation stopover. All the sites have electrical hookups, and all but one have a sewer connection, plus pull-thru sites are available. For facilities, you’ll find a heated pool, games room and playground to keep you entertained, plus washrooms, a general store, and laundry for the essentials.
Exploring the City
The Woodstock Museum features over 400 artifacts and 125 images on the history of Woodstock and was completely refurbished in 2019. Throughout the building, dating back to 187, and was once the City Hall, there are many small exhibits on a particular subject. The council chambers have been restored to their original condition from when the building was completed, and there is a Woodstock firefighting display.
