Despite being on the edge of a major metropolitan area, Innisfil is close to some fantastic outdoor recreation spots. Lake Simcoe is probably the most obvious place to spend the day outside when you rent an RV in Innisfil. There are several places along the lake to rent a kayak or canoe, but most of them are located near the lake’s outlet on the north side. The fishing is great too, so be sure to pick up an Ontario fishing license before heading out.
RV Parks
One of the closest places to stay when you get a travel trailer rental in Innisfil is the Toronto North/Cookstown KOA. Here you’ll find full hookups, a heated swimming pool, a dog park, bicycle rentals, and a mini-golf course. In addition to nice amenities, the park organizes activities like movie nights and volleyball games where you can get together for some fun with your fellow travelers. The park is located on the edge of town, which gives you easy access to Barrie.
Exploring the City
There aren’t many specific attractions in Innisfil itself, but it’s a great starting place regardless of the type of fun you wish to have when you rent an RV here. There are a couple of wineries (Ontario has one of the best climates for grape growing in Canada) and a few breweries in the surrounding towns. For a day of shopping, head over to the outlet mall near Highway 89 and 400 interchanges. They’ve got some of the biggest name brand stores along with some lesser-known names, and all of them offer discounted prices. Great service - Set-up was great. The fridge could use an upgrade on the Monarch trailer, but other than that, we had a great time. The kids loved not sleeping in a tent for our camping trip :) We will certainly rent again next year. Having A/C in the woods was amazing!

I recently rented Jiangfeng's RV trailer for a camping trip to a provincial park, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Jiangfeng is an exceptional host — he took the time to thoroughly walk me through every detail of the trailer, both inside and out. His instructions were clear and thoughtful, and since it had been two years since I last drove a trailer, his reminders were incredibly helpful and refreshing.

I thought my 2024 trailer rental experience from a different place was great. The rental from Stuart exceeded my expectations by a long shot. When he says all you need are blankets, towels, lawn chairs and your food, that is exactly what is meant! Everything else is in that trailer, including coffee pods. Stuart responds immediately to any questions. The trailer was clean and beautiful! I've never seen a rig set up and stabilized like he did this one. We didn't get the rocking that happens when other people walk into or through the trailer.
