The Great Outdoors

When you get an RV rental in Newtonville, one of the best things to do outside is a chartered fishing excursion. Anglers will rejoice at the fantastic fishing opportunities to be found in nearby Lake Ontario where walleye, muskie, and perch flourish. While the companies provide most of the equipment necessary, you’ll still need to pick up a non-resident Ontario fishing license and an outdoors card.

RV Parks

Cedar Valley Resort lies just north of Newtonville and is one of the closest places to camp when you rent an RV here. It’s a fairly small RV park and has full hookups, showers, and a rec area, and Saturday night dances. It’s not too close to any highways, making it very quiet at night and perfect for stargazing.

Exploring the City

There aren’t too many attractions in Newtonville itself, but there are several towns nearby that are worth visiting on a day trip. Deal hunters will love a trip to the flea market in Courtice. You can find everything from antiques to fresh pastries among the many tables here. More antiquing can be done at the antique call in nearby Orono, but you won’t find quite as many delicious treats to munch on while you browse there.

LA Casa met our every need. Completely kitted out in the kitchen. We brought our camping plates but never even unpacked them.

We had an amazing trip and it was great to be able to have "Sunny" which allowed for the flexibility to stop at many different places along the way. The trailer was exactly what we needed, especially with the kitchen in the back, this saved us a lot of money and allowed us to make all our meals on the go. Eva was very responsive and answered all our questions very quickly. The pick up and drop off was seamless and Eva was sure to take the time and explain all the details of the trail. I would definitely recommend this little trailer to anyone and Eva was a great host!! Also, the little bunkbed for our puppy was perfect!

This is SUCH A CUTE VAN! We loved it and it was a huge part of our two week holiday in Ontario. It was super clean when we received it and it’s overall really well maintained throughout the years. The look and feel of it is so charming!
It had absolutely everything we needed for camping including the chairs, head torches, lighters etc. Even ketchup and mustard for hotdogs! We honestly only needed to bring our clothes and buy some food.
The size of the van is perfect for two people and we could easily park in any normal car parking spot.
It was enough storage for our essential stuff and we had a choice of making the bed two singles or one queen bed. We chose to have two singles for a bit more easily accessible storage.
Barry and Sue were wonderful hosts and they showed us around the van in a lot of depth as it was the first time in an RV for us and answered all our questions. They kindly offered to hold onto our two huge suitcases while we were travelling so that life in a van is more spacious for us and it was a huge help. In addition to that, they offered to drop us off at the bus stop when we were leaving for the airport. So kind and helpful!
I highly recommend renting this van and I would love to come back for another holiday, please!
