Jackson Lake Campground

Jackson Lake Campground is within the popular summertime destination of Jackson Lake State Park, one of the best parks in Colorado outside of the Rocky Mountains. In addition to the boating, kayaking, fishing, and swimming you can do while visiting the park’s lake, there is also ample space to go for a hike, view a variety of birds in their natural habitat, and drive on special off-road tracks. North Sterling State Park is easy enough to reach in your campervan rental, sharing lots of the same features that make Jackson Lake State Park as amazing as it is. In the center of North Sterling State Park is a large reservoir, teeming with freshwater fish to catch like trout, crappie, perch, and bass. Six miles of trails encircle the lake, where park guests can go boating or swimming. Pawnee National Grassland is a massive chunk of land protecting natural grasslands in northern Colorado. This mesmerizing location is just a 45-minute drive north of Jackson Lake Campground on the Wyoming-Colorado state line. Clay barrens, shrub steppes, shortgrass prairies, rocky buttes, and other mesmerizing ecosystems decorate this seemingly barren spot, where wildlife and plant life are abundant and the night skies are dreamy. Head here with the Orchard motorhome rental, and you can easily fill a day with sightseeing, hiking, and wildlife observation. On the other side of the Front Range metro area where Denver and Fort Collins are situated lies the stunning Rocky Mountain National Park. This world-famous nature park brings in over four million people each year to see its breathtaking vantage points high atop its snowcapped peaks. Stroll through wildflower-laden meadows, swim in frigid alpine lakes, and search the night skies for planets and constellations.
