Discover Wiggins RV rentals for memorable road trips

Wiggins is a small town in the high plains of northeast Colorado a little more than an hour's drive from Denver. The way it is situated makes it easy for travelers to get to the Front Range communities and the Pawnee Plains, and a bit farther out, the Rocky Mountains. Originally called Corona, it was renamed in honor of Oliver Wiggins who guided the explorer John Fremont on his expeditions through northern Colorado in the mid-19th century.

Birds, Buttes, and Bighorn Sheep

For a spot of fishing, birding, and boating, you only need to take a short drive to 2,400-acre Jackson Lake State Park, about a half an hour’s drive by Wiggins camper rental. Bring binoculars and you just might spy hawks, curlews, and whooping cranes. Toss out a line for walleye, pike, and bass. Or give your legs a good workout on a hike along the north shore or an exhilarating ride on their off-highway vehicle dirt track.

Where to Park Your RV

Wiggins measures less than a square mile so the few RV parks you can find are outside of town, one of the closest of which is in Fort Morgan where I-76 meets Hwy 34. Emerald Park offers a convenient location for an overnight stay (most of the campgrounds and RV parks in Fort Morgan are for extended stay). You’ll get hookups for water, electricity, and sewer, and find bathrooms and showers. There is also a convenience store, steakhouse, and fuel station nearby.

Relive the History of Morgan County

Drive your RV rental from Wiggins, CO to Fort Morgan and see what pioneer life was like in the Northeast Plains and the Morgan County at the city’s museum. The museum abounds with arrowheads, stone tools, and other exhibits of Native American life on the Great Plains as well as the history of farming in this corner of Colorado. There is also a section devoted to the history of the Overland Trail, railroads, and Fort Morgan's hometown pride, the swing era's big band leader, Glenn Miller.

Highly highly recommend booking this campervan! We had an amazing experience driving this through Colorado state. The van is so clean and well maintained, and they equipped it with essentials such as dish soap, a sponge, cooking utensils, garbage bags, bedding, camping chairs, etc. Yadean also made a manual with very clear instructions and images to guide you when operating parts of the van such as the sink, AC, toilet and cooktop. We were pleasantly surprised with the amount of storage space there was as well… my boyfriend and I lived out of there for 8 days and we were comfortable the whole time. Also, the starlink wifi was a MAJOR bonus, this was super handy when we were camping in more remote areas.

Pat and I had an excellent trip in "Style". My only reason for not going with 5 stars was due to several mechanical/electrical issues that we worked through. The owner, Stan, was very helpful in diagnosing the issues and getting to a resolution. Style is nicely outfitted. The bed is very comfortable. The Mercedes power train was more than adequate for the numerous passes we covered on our 2100 mile "Grand Circle" road trip. I'd highly recommend this listing.

We had a perfect experience with Jeremiah and his RV camper trailer. He was very accommodating to our requests and schedule, and incredibly prompt with answers to our inquiries. The camper itself was in excellent condition: clean, prepared and more than adequate for what we were looking for. It performed perfectly throughout our trip both on the road and at the camp site. I pulled it with my 2021 F150 5.0 and it handled just fine. Jeremiah was thorough in his walk around and tutorial, and provided a handy binder in case there were questions while on our trip. He knows trucks as well so if you're not sure about something he'll definitely provide guidance there too if you need it. I would definitely recommend using Jeremiah and his trailer to any and all considering an RV trailer vacation.
