Sitting on the banks of the Connecticut River, Middletown is known as the home of the Wesleyan University. One of them is the General Mansfield House. It is run by the Middlesex County Historical Society. The impressive house was constructed in 1817 by Catherine and Samuel Livingston Mather. For instance, youngsters may go to Middleshire, a tiny village, and create their little castle.
