Let's start with a few questions to narrow down your options.

Way down south... no, further south, you’ll find tropical white sandy beaches and some of the clearest water to touch American shores. If your RV camping trip takes you all the way to the Florida Keys, you’ll be at one of the southernmost points in the entire United States. Halfway between Key West and Key Largo and only an hour and a half away from the Everglade National Park, at mile marker 56.2, you’ll find the Caribbean style town of Marathon, Florida. The scenery is like something from a storybook. The tropical hardwood hammocks make up a majority of the landscape, and the backdrop is palm trees, calm waters, the Gulf of Mexico to the east and the Atlantic Ocean to the west. This quaint town is also home to the beautiful Curry Hammock State Park.
In 1991, Curry Hammock State Park was purchased, along with a few other long stretches of land in the Florida Keys, by Thomas Curry. The park was built to preserve the natural habitat in this area of the Keys. The marine grass around the park plays a crucial role in filtering the water, thereby supporting the lush ecosystem of the nearby reefs and keeping the beaches crystal clear all year long.
If you’re planning an RV camping trip this year, consider Curry Hammock State Park. This place is perfect for swimming, snorkeling, stargazing, and paddling. Rent an RV in Monroe County and soak up the sun!
