Measuring 37,500 acres, Lake Seminole is one of the largest lakes in Florida. Lake Seminole was created by the damming of Chattahoochee and Flint River in the 1950s. Also known as Jim Woodruff, this man-made lake is shallow and has an average depth of 10 feet with the deepest point being 30 feet. Created in 1957, Lake Seminole lies approximately 20 miles away from Bainbridge, GA, and about 40 miles from Tallahassee, FL.
