Recommended RV Campgrounds and Attractions around Titusville, FL
No trip to Orlando would be complete without stopping at one of Walt Disney World's many theme parks, from the famed Magic Kingdom, home of Cinderella's Castle, to Animal Kingdom to the Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon water parks. With roller coasters that thrill, teacup rides for small children and everything in between, Walt Disney World has much to offer every family member, no matter what age.
Enjoy a park that embodies the heart of Kissimmee, found along the shores of the scenic Lake Tohopekaliga and offering walkways, BBQ grills, boating, fishing piers, playgrounds, a concession stand that sells food, beverages and snacks. You can fish here and buy bait and fish tackle at the Big Toho Marina, enjoy bird watching since the park has been named a State of Florida Birding Trail.
This is as close as you'll get to the Daytona International Speedway, you will be in the action, feeling the energy of the races and next to all the history and heritage. In the center of the infield along Lake Lloyd, enjoy first-class waterfront camping. You'll have access to full amenities, the Boardwalk Club, a path limited only to Lake Lloyd RV guests. The infield campgrounds range from full hookup to primitive camping. You can book RV rentals and have them delivered to the infield for the event or drive the RV rental there yourself. Look at the official website for ticket packages.
Gatorland provides 110-acres of adventure and education, where you can view thousands of alligators and crocodiles including four extremely rare "white" alligators. This theme park and wildlife preserve showcases a free-flight aviary, a petting zoo, natural alligator breeding marsh, and the "thrilling" Screamin' Gator Zip Line, where you can fly 1,200 feet, all of this combines to ensure for a memorable day.
Located within reach of the best destinations central Florida has to offer, including Walt Disney World Resort, Universal Studios, Gatorland and LEGOLAND, this camp should be your base. You can relax after a busy day of exploring the parks and enjoy the pool, the hot tub, a game of golf or why not take a helicopter tour of the area. You can choose from a variety of RV sites including back-ins, pull-thrus and Deluxe Patio Sites. This location is easy to navigate in your RV rental and close to major attractions.
Camping might not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think about Disney World ? but maybe it should be. Fort Wilderness Resort offers a one-of-a-kind experience, combining the magic of Disney with all the amenities of a full-service campground. It's perfect for tent camping or RVing, whether you come in a rented pop-up or your own class A. Disney's bus system offers transportation directly from the campground to all its theme parks, and campers can view the Magic Kingdom's nightly fireworks show right from the resort. The resort offers RV sites that can fit any RV rental you choose but you will be happier navigating the loop roads in a RV rental 35' or smaller. An insider tip is to stay during the holidays to enjoy the fancy Christmas decorations set up by other campers.
An unexpected oasis in the midst of Orlando's concrete jungle, Harry P. Lieu Gardens is a breath of fresh, floral-vented air. The 50-acre botanical garden is located near downtown Orlando, but that fact is easy to forget once you set foot on the quiet, peaceful grounds. The historic Leu House Museum is open to visitors and offers insight into the families who lived there.
You can be within minutes of shopping centers and major attractions and still enjoy the Florida wildlife. From your RV site watch cranes, herons, eagles, hawks, Sherman's fox squirrels and turkeys. Enjoy an airboat tour on lake Tohopekaliga and get to know more of the surroundings. Or enjoy the shade of the cypress and oak trees. A fun family escape in the RV rental.
