Unfortunately, our experience with this RV rental fell far below expectations. While the host initially came across as flexible and accommodating, several serious issues arose that made our trip stressful and disappointing. The RV was promised to be cleaned prior to pick up, but at both pre-trip viewings, it was visibly dirty. Despite multiple reassurances, it was still not properly cleaned at the time of pickup. The host was also not present for handoff, leaving us without a walkthrough or inspection. Shortly after pulling away from the host’s home, we encountered major electrical and mechanical issues, including inoperable backup and side cameras. The outlets, tv, microwave and other electrical components would not work either unless the RV was plugged into power or running the generator. We informed the host immediately but were met with minimal support. We were told the owner would look at it when we got back. Midway through our trip, the host suddenly imposed a strict return deadline, which had never been discussed or agreed upon beforehand. We later learned she had scheduled new renters just 2 hours after she expected our return—despite being aware of the issues we had reported. Communication with the host became increasingly hostile and aggressive, and threatened legal action if we did not meet the deadline. This experience cost us three days of vacation time and created unnecessary stress. We are now also having to fight additional fees and damage claims the host is imposing for their lack of maintenance. We would not recommend this rental based on the lack of professionalism, inadequate support, and overall handling of the situation.
