We had a great time camping in the Smokey’s over Thanksgiving. Marilyn is wonderful to work with. She is great with her communications and very honest about her camper. Her “crew” (family) are very detailed oriented in the set up and instructions. Marilyn gave a full and detailed walk through over using the camper. She pointed out things that were not working and explained the quirks of the camper. We even cooked a full Thanksgiving dinner of turkey, dressing, gravy, green beans, sweet potatoes, rolls, and a pie. The oven in this camper is one of the best I have ever used in a camper. I did make one mistake in not checking with Marilyn about needing sheets, blankets, and towels; but a fast trip to Wal Mart fixed that issue. I would recommend renting from Marilyn and her family whole heartily. They were great to work with and this was not our first rental time.

I was very disappointed with a few key aspects of this rental. There are quite a few "quirks" that make living in this trailer less than desirable. The first being that the tanks are far less than adequate for anything more than a two day stay with regular water use. As a very frugal water user, our gray tank lasted 3 days. We used the toilet and washed dishes only. Not a single shower was taken in our RV and we still exceeded the tank in 3 days. AFTER reserving the RV Marilyn indicated that her weekday delivery was not until 4:00pm. She would not communicate her ETA with us day of. She would only respond with excuses for the delay. We spent several hours waiting for her. She didn't arrive until 6:30pm for delivery. She gave us almost no instruction and there were many things throughout the RV that were difficult to use without some guidance. After the many disappointments, late set up, insufficient water tanks, we requested a 1.5 day refund on the 5 day trip. Marilyn denied the request, with more excuses for the disappointments but no solutions. The camper itself is fairly decent but it is important to know prior to rental that the tank will not last more than two days and that the earliest weekday set up will be 4:00pm. I would also encourage you to bring your own cooking utensils. Though Marilyn does say all cooking utensils are provided, the 4 or 5 misc. spoons and spatulas are very flimsy and difficult to use.
