Let's start with a few questions to narrow down your options.

One of the great things about being outdoors is having the unlimited space that you usually can't find in cities, which is why RV campgrounds with spacious sites are fantastic, giving you a place where you can stretch out and relax. Rangeley Lake Campground features sites that are roomy with space to spare. Better yet, the sites are all close to the lakeshore allowing you an unobstructed view of Saddleback Mountain.
The RV park has a picnic area and playground, plus a boat ramp enabling you to enjoy canoeing or kayaking, boating, and fishing on the lake (licenses may be required, so you should ask when making your reservation). It is a popular campground, so making reservations is wise; Rangeley is open for camping from early May to early October, but dates may be affected by local weather.
While you're here, you'll be able to enjoy swimming and hiking in the area, plus nature and wildlife observation (the park management asks that you observe the wildlife from a distance, and also stay on the groomed paths to protect the plants and ecosystems from being damaged). If you need supplies or a change of pace, the town of Kingfield is a short drive away; you'll find a library where you can while the time away if the weather decides not to cooperate, as well as banks and grocery stores, gas stations, and sporting equipment rentals.
