Getting Outdoors
Visitors who decide to go motorhome camping at Milan Hill State Park will have access to excellent hiking trails. They vary in difficulty, and hikers of all levels may find a route that will suit them. The trails lead through dense woods, and you might even do some birdwatching here. The hike to the fire tower is the most popular route for the majority of visitors. Once they get to the hilltop, hikers may see the mountain tops that stretch as far as Canada if the weather is nice and sunny.
Camping at Milan Hill State Park
Milan Hill State Park Campground is near the hill with the fire tower. Campers may get there in no time and enjoy the gorgeous view. The campground itself is not large, but six sites may accommodate RVs. Other features include toilets, hot showers, picnic areas, and the campground’s office. No hookups are available at the campground. However, each campsite has a small picnic table and a fire pit.
Exploring the Area
Milan Hill State Park campers who want to explore New Hampshire even further could go on a drive to Concord, the capital of this state. This city was an industrial hub back in the day. It was well-known all around the United States for its furniture manufacturing. Tourists come here to enjoy the impeccable architecture and tour the museums, as well as other historical landmarks. One of them is the Pierce Manse, the home of the 14th president of the United States, Franklin Pierce. The impressive house serves as a museum, with the original furniture and artifacts used by the former president. The mansion was set for demolition in 1971, but a group of locals managed to preserve it and turn the house into one of the most popular tourist locations in Concord. Even though the Pierce Manse is open to visitors all year round, the guided tours are only available from June to October.

Kilie was wonderful. I really enjoyed her. I left the place the way I found it and she was very impressed. My things if you borrow something you give it back the same way or better. What a great family to work with. Susan’s communication was amazing! The owners were kind, friendly, and even left a cute s’mores bag and fire starters for us to enjoy on our camping trip. When we got home and unpacked and realized we left our dogs collars in the camper. she was quick to offer to mail them back to us. We definitely highly recommend this comfortable, clean camper and this family.
