Camping at Bay Springs Lake

Fortunately, there are two campgrounds located on the western shoreline of the lake: Piney Grove Campground and Bay Springs Lake Campground. The largest and most well-equipped of the two is Piney Grove Campground that can accommodate up to 150 vehicles. Although there are no full hook up sites, all of the pitches have access to 50 or 30 amp electricity and water hookups. There is also a dump station on-site for the convenience of all campers. Modern campers who enjoy keeping in touch with the outside world can also pay a small fee to access site-wide WiFi.

Tupelo, MS is less than an hour’s drive from Bay Springs Lake and is a great option for those looking for a day trip from the lake. This small town is most famously known as the birthplace of Elvis Presley and is home to several museums and monuments honoring his life. The Elvis Presley Birthplace complex is a must-see for anyone camping with an RV nearby. The grounds consist of Elvis’ childhood home, a memorial chapel where Elvis was first introduced to Southern Gospel music, several statues of the man himself, and a small museum that celebrates the life and legacy of the King of Rock n Roll.
