Joplin KOA

Joplin campers who want to learn a little bit more about the history of the region or just about science, in general, will enjoy a visit to the Joplin Museum Complex. You can see exhibits that focus on the history of the area, such as historical medicine, the Joplin Sports Hall of Fame, and the local mining industry. Or instead, you can enjoy the unique National Cookie Cutter Exhibit or Circus exhibit. If you’re looking for a more laid-back day, you can spend some time at Schifferdecker Park in Joplin. The kids can enjoy the large play structure, play a game of volleyball or basketball, or even go for a swim in the pool. For something even more leisurely, you can enjoy a round of golf at the neighboring golf course. Just up the road from the RV park is Grand Falls. This outdoor recreation stop is a great place to snap some stunning photos. The tumbling falls pour over a more than 150-foot-wide ledge, creating a wonderful panoramic view. You can even try your luck at fishing a little farther down the river. When RV camping at Joplin KOA, you’ll probably need to refuel and restock supplies. Luckily enough, there are plenty of gas stations and grocery stores in the area where you can find what you need. Every southern state has its own version of barbecue, and Missouri isn't any different. The go-to grilled grub around here is St. Louis-style, centered around spareribs that have been barbecued to perfection and are usually served with some extra tomato-based barbecue sauce.
