RV rental Clough State Park, NH: Motorhome rentals, camper van rentals and more

Although Clough State Park is a smaller one with only about 50 acres, what it lacks in size, it makes up for in recreational fun. In addition to a boat launch which facilitates access to Everett Lake, there is a 900-foot beach. Save for a few days during the peak season; it rarely gets crowded on this lake. It’s the perfect spot for a quiet day of sunbathing and fishing. If it gets too warm on the beach, retreat into the shade of tall pine trees that tower overhead. A few miles of trails meander through the sunlight-dappled woods, giving adventurers an opportunity to stretch their legs. One spur leads to the dam, and explorers are welcome to venture onto the top of the dam, which is quite an eerie sensation. The wall spans only a few feet, and during especially wet years, it can feel as though one is walking on water if the lake level is high. There are kayaks and canoes available for rent, too. Paddle alongside the shore and watch for deer, rabbits, and overhead, hawks. Or venture out into the middle of the lake and watch the tall trees at the horizon shrink. Engage in spontaneous games of volleyball, baseball, or football on the nearby playing field, which has plenty of room to spread out. Bordering Clough State Park is several other state and town parks and forests. Bear Brook State Park is the largest within 20 miles. Encompassing over 10,000 acres, it is the largest developed park in the state. In addition to two practice archery range, there are several miles of hiking trails that take explorers over a variety of terrains.
