Odiorne Point State Park is in far southeastern New Hampshire and sits on a point of land at the mouth of the Piscataqua River, where that waterway meets up with the Atlantic Ocean. The river forms the border between this state and Maine to the north. The park is found near the small town of Rye, NH, while the nearest larger town is Newington, NH, at around 10 miles to the northwest. The nearest larger city is Concord, NH, which is around 60 miles to the northwest, while the large, metropolitan area of Boston, MA is equidistant to the south.

Odiorne Point State Park is located at a very small portion of the state that reaches the coast. This area is rural, comprised of rocky beaches, salt marshes, and sandy forestland.
