The lake is calling you in for a swim, so hopefully, there are some swimsuits and towels packed away on your rental RV. There are several water access points along the shoreline of Squam Lake, and if it does happen to be busy, there are a handful of other lakes within a short drive away. Though swimming isn’t the only on-water activity; paddle boarding and kayaking are also permitted if you so choose. It’s a big enough lake that there should be plenty of surface area for everyone to safely share and enjoy.
Camping at Squam Lake

Owls Landing Campground is located conveniently on US Route 3 in Holderness, just a short ways away from Squam Lake. Many amenities, including hookups, showers, restrooms, and on-site store, will be included in your stay here. While direct lake access from your campsite isn’t provided here, just about everything else is.

The town of Holderness is a quaint little area. For those wanting to learn the most about Squam Lake and the surrounding ecosystem, the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center sure is a great place to start. Adults and children alike will have something to gain by paying the center a visit. Engage in interactive displays and informative exhibits, all while gaining knowledge about Squam Lake. Also in town, you can find a handful of shops and eateries that’ll entertain you well enough for a short RV rental stay at Squam Lake.

Hands down the nicest camper I’ve rented. The tanks are huge allowing for a nice hot shower. The owner is incredibly nice. The camper was completely setup and equipped with blankets, pillows, heat hot water, etc… I would highly recommend renting from this owner.
