The state park is mostly comprised of forestland, with a good-sized lake as it's namesake. Numerous activities are available here, including hiking, biking, fishing, picnicking, camping, paddle sports and winter sports during the lengthy, cold months. The park sits in a rural area, surrounded by other parks, lakes, state forests, natural preserves and recreation areas, and the White Mountain National Forest.

Getting Outdoors

Renting an RV here will give you the chance to enjoy the wide variety of activities the park makes available to visitors. The ranger-led, Power of the Parks, educational programs are offered throughout the summer. The park office will have details on the exact times of the events and the subject matter that will be covered.

The lake found at this state park is said to be one of the best for swimming in the surrounding region. It is a naturally-occurring body of water left over from when glaciers covered this land. Fishing and swimming are available here, and there is also beach access. Take a canoe or kayak around the lake, and if you're quiet, you may spot one of the local beavers.

Hiking trails are available around and near the lake that offer scenic views of that site. These are converted into cross-country ski and snowshoe trails when snow falls. Some of these trails wind through the nearby woodland as well. There are also some snowmobile trails offered on-site. Some of the trails connect with other, lengthier trails that are found throughout the nearby region.

Camping at White Lake State Park

Camping with an RV in this park is a breeze. Two large campgrounds are available on-site, and a stay here will give you easy access to all the activities available at this locale.

The campgrounds have sites that offer some hookups, and they can accommodate RVs in a variety of sizes and lengths. Reservations are encouraged, though some sites are always held on a first-come-first-served basis. Some of the sites even offer views of the nearby lake, while others are more shaded and sheltered.

The campgrounds make potable water available to visitors, as well as showers and bathrooms. Pets are not allowed, however. There is also a camp store that sells supplies and is the place where equipment can be rented. Both campgrounds also feature playgrounds where children can run and exercise their energy a bit. As so many fun activities are available here, many people enjoy RV camping at White Lake State Park, so it shouldn't be hard to locate the amenities you may need.
