This “Proud and Progressive Community” is an amazing suburb of Dayton, with all of the conveniences of the city, mixed with the peaceful countryside atmosphere and small-town feel. You can search for an RV in Brookville if you are looking for your next vacation destination, especially if you want to find a versatile location to be your home base when you set off and explore the great state of Ohio in your Brookville camper rental. The state capital, Columbus, is around an hour's drive east, and Cincinnati is the same distance to the south, so there is tremendous potential in Brookville for those who want to discover an idyllic community while setting off on mini excursions to cities and state parks around the state.

The Great Outdoors

There is an overwhelming number of state parks and recreation areas scattered throughout the Buckeye State, and Montgomery County is no exception. There is some outdoor magic to be found in nearly every direction once you head out of town in your Brookville motorhome rental, like Lake Loramie State Park to the north of town. The park is known for its fantastic beaches, secluded fishing spots, and a wide-open lake where you can swim or go fishing, boating, kayaking, canoeing, or even waterskiing. Camping by the water is even an option when you visit this little gem of a public park surrounding Lake Loramie. Grand Lake St. Marys State Park is a similar park quite close to Lake Loramie, where you can enjoy many of the same activities. Splashing around in the lake, tanning on the beach, canoeing, kayaking, and going fishing are all part of the fun when you seek out this lakefront refuge in western Ohio.

Caesar Creek State Park is in the opposite direction, south of Dayton on Caesar Creek Lake. This large, human-made lake is home to numerous activities, with over 70 miles of nature trails to mountain bike, hike, or ride horses on. You can, of course, swim and fish in the lake, or observe local wildlife while you stroll through the woods. There is a nature center on site for people of all ages to learn about the local environment, and a fascinating pioneer village with a blacksmith shop, a Quaker meeting house, and an assortment of historic log cabins.

For a different sort of outdoor experience, you can bring your Brookville RV rental to Chillicothe and see one of the country’s most incredible historical treasures. The Hopewell Culture National Historical Park is a mesmerizing attraction that is both a National Historic Landmark and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The site features effigy mounds and other ceremonial structures that were made thousands of years ago by ancient indigenous people for religious purposes. There are hundreds of artifacts crafted by the Hopewell Culture that have been unearthed from the space over the years, all of which are on display.
