Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds, in Berea, Ohio offers a great RV camping destination. This is about a 4 hour drive from Lafayette This RV camping facility is just a few minutes from Interstate-71 and offers easy access to Ohio Turnpike. The Cleveland?s Hopkins International Airport is just a few miles from this RV campground. It is around 12 miles south of the city of Cleveland. This RV camping facility is close to many notable attractions of the area. These include Berea ? Mahler Museum & History Center, Coe Lake and Gazebo, Cleveland Browns, Metroparks, Lou Groza Boulevard, and Berea?s Train Depot. This RV campground is a few blocks away from the city?s 5 primary shopping areas. In addition, there are golf courses nearby. Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds covers 117 acres including indoor exhibit space.

Located just two minutes from the public beach, the Vermilion city swimming pool, and Mill Hollow Park, Riverview RV Park hosts plenty of grassy campsites and several pull throughs with electrical, fresh water, and gray water hookups, plus a honey bee sewage service once or twice a week. Spacious and roomy enough to accommodate even a big rig, the sites are simple and rustic with a quiet, peaceful atmosphere. Good river access is available for canoeing, kayaking and boating. Fishing is possible from some of the sites or at the community areas, and the park is well maintained boasting large, open grassy areas which are great for the kids to play on.

American Wilderness Campground and Event Center

The American Wilderness Campground and Event Center is a great place to stay if you want to explore Cleveland, Ohio. It is the nearest RV park to Cleveland and will just take you 35 minutes to get there. You will get partial hookup here and WiFi, and there are clean restrooms and showers, as well as laundry facilities. The park is beautiful. It is surrounded by nature and there are two lakes, one which is fully stocked for fishing, and the other for swimming. Boat rentals are available if you want to have a lazy day on the lake. There is also a tadpole beach with sprinklers and Tiki Huts, which your kids will love. If you decide to stay here for a day instead of exploring the area, you certainly won't be bored. There is a huge games room, basketball and volleyball courts, and biking and hiking trails throughout the campground. The kids will love the playgrounds and adventure gem mining. If you have a special event coming up, like a birthday, anniversary, wedding, and so on, you can rent out a log cabin hall or pavilion.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum

For any of you out there who is a music fan, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum is the perfect place to go. As you approach the museum, you will hear music blaring out of speakers, and there is quite often a band playing in the grounds. The design of the building is spectacular, the highlight being a glass pyramid. There is so much to see here that you should reserve the whole day for visiting. You can go to the cafe and get a light lunch, while looking out onto the lake. There are quite a few floors, so it's probably best to start at the basement. Here there is plenty of music history and many artifacts, such as instruments and clothes belonging to the stars, as well as original song notes, personal effects, and recording equipment. The exhibits come from all genres of music and different eras, starting from the early 1900s. There are less exhibits as you go up the floors , but there are interactive music booths, which are great fun for both adults and children. On the top floor, there is an auditorium which plays videos about different stars an music in general. In addition, they have temporary exhibits and evening concerts.

Willow Lake park is a comfortable, relaxed, family-friendly place to park your RV, and it?s also convenient to many other attractions and communities in northeastern Ohio. The Shale Creek Golf Club is just next door, the Mill Stream Run Reservation is only a few minutes north on the Interstate 71, and a slightly longer drive eastward takes you to Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The communities of Lakewood and Cleveland, on the shores of Lake Erie, are less than an hour?s drive away. If you?d rather relax at your mobile home, on-site amenities at Willow Lake Park include a playground, mini-putt golf course, a playground, a central pavilion with a snack bar and picnic tables, a baseball field, and a basketball court. Guests are also welcome to go swimming or fishing in the small lake. Planned activities in the summer season include live musical performances, auctions, and an annual clam bake. The venue welcomes both tents and RVs, and offers electricity hookups along with free WiFi.
