Getting Outdoors

The keen anglers among you will be pleased to hear that Lake Hudson is somewhat of a fisherman’s dream. The lake itself is home to a wide range of fish species, each with its own unique sporting characteristics. The lake is best known for its bass fishing, and this is proven by the many bass fishing tournaments held here every yeat. Verities include largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, black bass, spotted bass, and hybrid striped bass. Alongside these, there are a high number of bluegill, channel catfish, and crappie. Whether Lake Hudson campers fish from the miles of shoreline or a boat out on the lake, with such a highly stocked lake, success is almost guaranteed.

Camping at Lake Hudson

Those RV camping at Lake Hudson will have several campsites to choose from. Choosing a site all depends on camper’s personal preference and how close they wish to be to the lake. ‘Snowdale State Park Campground’ on the western shore of the lake, allows campers to be right alongside the lake. Although the location is excellent, facilities and amenities are somewhat limited. Partial hookups are provided here, including 20 amp electric and water. Facilities include a dump station and shower block.

Exploring the Area

The nearby city of Tulsa is only a fifty-minute drive away from Lake Hudson and offers a wide range of day trip opportunities. No trip to Tulsa is complete without a visit to the ‘Gilcrease Museum.' This museum of art and history holds one of the largest and comprehensive collections of American West art in the entire world. Visitors can spend an entire day viewing this vast collection, whos ever-changing exhibits showcase some of the best art to come out of the American West. Alongside this art collection, the Gilcrease Museum also displays a collection of artifacts linked with the anthropological study of the Native Americans within the southwest of America.

Adrian's RV is beautiful and like a home on wheels. It was beyond comfortable. Although it rained almost every day, we had a great time. The RV came with all the essentials and more. We used the Blackstone grill every day. We loved it!
