The Great Outdoors

Oregon has a reputation for some pretty scenic state parks. While none are directly in Aurora, there's nothing a little drive in your RV rental can’t fix. You’ll be keen to immerse yourself in some of Oregon’s old growth and feel the history.

RV Parks

When you book an RV in Marion County, securing an overnight spot is rather simple. A prospective choice for those traveling and looking specifically within Aurora can make their way over to Aurora Acres RV Resort. The park is located right next to the highway for easy day trip access and has an onsite pool and newly added WiFi. Outside of Aurora, you’ll be able to find a handful more RV parks able to accommodate your needs while leaving you in close proximity to all the major attractions of the area.

Exploring the City

Aurora is a designated historical area. The downtown still maintains old-school architecture and houses, some of which have been turned into museums that explores the area’s past. Most notably, the Old Aurora Colony Museum takes a deep dive into the lives of the original Aurora settlers. There are five total buildings within the museum complex, and you’re able to take a self-guided tour at your own pace. Various exhibits are displayed throughout the year. Who knows maybe you’re a descendant from the original settlers if so the museum would love to get in touch!

This van was super fun! It got us through our hot springs road trip with no issues. In fact, it made us want to get a van of our own. We got about 18 mpg which was better than I expected. Bed may be a little short for anyone taller than 5”9 but it worked for us. Would rent again!

We had an amazing experience renting Randolph’s van on Outdoorsy—easy five stars. We took our family of five through Zion, Bryce, and Great Basin National Parks, and the van made the whole trip effortless and fun. It drove great, everything worked perfectly, and it was such a game changer to just pull into camp and be set up instantly without dealing with tents and all the usual hassle—especially with kids.

My wife and I rented Robert’s van for a weeklong roadtrip up the Oregon coast, and our experience couldn’t have been any better! Robert and his wife were very friendly and took the time to thoroughly go over every aspect of how to operate the van and all of its features - which was useful to me as a first time camper van user. The van itself is truly wonderful. The van is 21ft but does not feel very large to drive at all. The van has a backup camera and blind spot detection as well which was nice.
