Discover Beavercreek RV rentals for memorable road trips

Complicating things for Beavercreek, OR, residents for many years, while the town was known as Beavercreek as far back as the early 1850s, its post office refused to use that name. Between the town’s unofficial founding and 1922, the post office arbitrarily changed the town names several times: Willamette Town, Rivertown, and others. The postmaster eventually agreed to use Beavercreek upon recognizing the confusion it was causing, nevermind that it took nearly 75 years to come to this realization. Even so, the town wasn’t considered an official one with the government until 2006. Today, its official designation is the Hamlet of Beavercreek.

The Great Outdoors

The lush green woods and rich soil for farming drew pioneers to western Oregon over 150 years ago. Even today, it’s still a big draw. A Beavercreek RV rental opens up a world of adventure and outdoor recreational fun. In the heart of Oregon farmland, one has only to look eastward to feel the pull. A long, ragged range of mountains, snowcapped, beckons. Mount Hood National Forest is a mere 15 miles east. It’s estimated that there are over 1,000 miles of established hiking trails in this National Forest, and several are multi-use, shared with bikers and horseback riders. Mountain climbing and rock climbing, which are considered discrete sports, are popular activities in this park. For the latter, there are several popular crags, like Frenchies Dome, a small dormant volcano dome, Pete’s Pile, and Bulo Point. Mountain climbers in this area often have only one goal in mind: to summit the mighty Mount Hood, which has an elevation of nearly 12,000 feet. The notion of mastering a mountain that might be one day be an active, roaring volcano is intoxicating for some. Bring your Beavercreek travel trailer rental. There are several campgrounds that welcome RVs and campers.

RV Parks

Even in the suburbs and small towns, there are rules prohibiting overnight parking. When you search for an RV in Beavercreek, OR, be sure to find a campground or RV park that will fit your needs for a day or two. There are several along the Clackamas River, all with varying degrees of service and amenities. Milo McIver State Park has a campground run by the Oregon State near Estacada. Although it’s a small campground, there are electric hookups, a dump station, and hot showers. The views of the river and the farmlands around make up for the spartan facilities.

Exploring the City

Almost literally a one-street town, an RV rental will be beneficial for exploring the area to find local attractions and fun activities in the area. The Stone Creek Golf Course was co-designed by Peter Jacobsen and Jim Hardy, two highly acclaimed course architects. Golfers will need to navigate old-growth pine groves, wetlands, and several bunkers, all the while trying to ignore the majestic Mount Hood looming in the east. Parts of the fairway are narrow, and focus is a must.

My wife and I rented Robert’s van for a weeklong roadtrip up the Oregon coast, and our experience couldn’t have been any better! Robert and his wife were very friendly and took the time to thoroughly go over every aspect of how to operate the van and all of its features - which was useful to me as a first time camper van user. The van itself is truly wonderful. The van is 21ft but does not feel very large to drive at all. The van has a backup camera and blind spot detection as well which was nice.

We had a great experience with renting this RV from time of rental, pick-up, and drop off. A great family spring break trip to the coast.
