Discover Dundee RV rentals for memorable road trips

Deep in the heart of Oregon’s illustrious wine country, nestled in the rolling red hills of Willamette Valley, is the incredible little haven of Dundee. Dundee is far enough from Portland to remain independent, but close enough to benefit from the public transportation and attractions that the larger city has. With a 30-minute drive in your Dundee camper rental, you could reach Oregon’s cultural center in Portland, and with a little bit more driving, you could reach the spectacular Cascade Mountains to the east, the majestic coastline to the west, or the city of Eugene to the south along Interstate 5. Even staying put in Dundee can yield a memorable trip, with countless wineries to choose from and vineyards to tour. In fact, people from all over the world flock to this not-so-well-kept secret wine mecca to taste the sweet grape nectar produced in Willamette Valley.

Experience the Sites and Scenery

Dundee has a few communal spaces for outdoor recreation like Falcon Crest Park and the Dundee Scenic Overlook, but you’ll likely need to take your Dundee rental RV out of town to find more exciting nature areas. That being said, Dundee Scenic Overlook still provides excellent panoramic views of the valley below it, as well as large open meadows for any number of activities. Ash Island is located in the center of Willamette River that runs adjacent to Dundee, and is accessible all year round by boat. This untouched, 137-acre island is perfect for beach camping. Champoeg State Heritage Area is farther upstream from Ash Island, and is one of the finest state parks you could happen upon with your Dundee RV rental. This former pioneer town now exists as a wonderful natural preserve, with lots of hiking, biking, swimming, disc golf, birdwatching, and many other activities. People frequently use the year-round campground at Champoeg State Heritage Area, and some of the oldest buildings in the entire state can be seen here, too.

City Attractions

Dundee is primarily known as a wine lover’s paradise, and so most people find themselves visiting to tour the epic vineyards, or sampling the many types of wines produced in the region, while taking a vacation in Willamette Valley. The region is home to countless places where you can sample delicious wine made with locally grown grapes. Of course, wine and food go together better than anything so Dundee is also known as a foodie haven.

Where to Park It

Amidst the throngs of visitors flocking to Oregon’s wine country each year, you’ll see that more and more people are opting to rent an RV to better explore the region. In order to accommodate the growing number of high-end campers, more and more campgrounds are popping up all the time.

Great communication from Jake leading up to pickup and with answering my newbie questions about the van. Had a great time with the van over a three week road trip. Would definitely rent with Jake again!

Jose was very supportive and communicative. The van was absolutely amazing. Easy to drive, has all of the desired tech, has all of the desired amenities. The bed was comfortable. We used a pillow top with the mattress and that was fairly luxurious. Suggestions: laminated tips and trips guide for the van. The pick up and drop off times seem unrealistic unless you are starting and finishing your trip within an hour or two of your home. Jose was was extremely flexible and understanding and allowed us to pick it up early and drop it off late. I would highly recommend Jose and his camper van. We may try to book it again for closer trips out to the coast or Mt Hood or the gorge. We were ambitious and went to the Olympic Peninsula.

This van is top of the line. The exterior is in outstanding shape/fully loaded and the interior layout was the most efficient I’ve seen. Randolph was a great host, went over the van in detail at pickup and was available to answer questions throughout the trip. Would rent again.
