The Great Outdoors

The now-defunct town of Champoeg makes up the Champoeg State Heritage Area and lies between Newberg and St. Paul. Original habitats of Champoeg and the first settlers of St. Paul do have a history so you could say preserving this area is very important to Marion County. At the park, visitors can take a guided tour through the Champoeg’s past, hike well-groomed trails, and engage in some local cultural education.

RV Parks

Your best bet for overnight accommodation in St. Paul with your travel trailer rental will be reserving a campsite within Champoeg State Heritage Area. Some sites have full hookups, and others have only electric and water. Flush toilets, hot showers, a dump station, and access to the park are all included in your stay.

Exploring the City

Funny enough, St. Paul is known for its rodeo. The rodeo grounds host a variety of events throughout the year, but their big rodeo spectacular is always during July 4th week, something to seriously consider attending if you plan to be around St. Paul with your RV rental during this time. Watch in excitement as contestants battle to stay atop bucking bulls and broncs. Be amazed at the horsemen and women who so flawlessly rope cattle and run barrels. The lively environment will electrify your day.

This van was super fun! It got us through our hot springs road trip with no issues. In fact, it made us want to get a van of our own. We got about 18 mpg which was better than I expected. Bed may be a little short for anyone taller than 5”9 but it worked for us. Would rent again!

We had an amazing experience renting Randolph’s van on Outdoorsy—easy five stars. We took our family of five through Zion, Bryce, and Great Basin National Parks, and the van made the whole trip effortless and fun. It drove great, everything worked perfectly, and it was such a game changer to just pull into camp and be set up instantly without dealing with tents and all the usual hassle—especially with kids.

My wife and I rented Robert’s van for a weeklong roadtrip up the Oregon coast, and our experience couldn’t have been any better! Robert and his wife were very friendly and took the time to thoroughly go over every aspect of how to operate the van and all of its features - which was useful to me as a first time camper van user. The van itself is truly wonderful. The van is 21ft but does not feel very large to drive at all. The van has a backup camera and blind spot detection as well which was nice.
