The Valkyrie is a 2014 FJ Cruiser with custom built-ins and add-ons with fewer than 90K miles. It has a first generation Roofnest (Falcon model: 48" W x 86" L) that can sleep two on comfy foam mattress and a 4-gallon pressurized water tank to spray off mud, rinse dishes, or wash up. This rig also has a CB radio for the latest weather updates and a custom built storage unit in back with a roll out cooler shelf. It is rugged and small enough to enjoy dispersed camping on public lands with confidence or simply provide a comfortable set up at your favorite campground or festival. Wherever you head, I highly recommend starting off your trip playing 'The Flight of the Valkyries'!!
What's included
Rent the Valkyrie and stock with your own gear! The base price is to rent the Valkyrie naked and includes the roofnest and ladder, 4 gallon road shower, awning, CB radio, bins in back to stash your gear and other car essentials (like jumper cables, phone charging cords).

Right now, this rig is available for 2-night minimum and 14-night trips maximum.
Portland International Airport is 15-20 minutes from pick-up location, Lyft is between $24 -35 (with tip) depending on the time of day. Cab service from the airport is fast and around $35-40 (with tip). QFC grocery store is next door for convenient food shopping upon arrival.
No smoking in the vehicle or the roofnest and no pets, thank you.
Although this vehicle is capable, overland, off-road use and winch use is not allowed.
After packed with your personal gear, this vehicle can fit 3 passengers comfortably.
Sleeping bags and pillows are recommended, but not included right now, so please bring your own!

As I kid, I sat in my treehouse and watched the woods and wildlife around me. Now, I love taking the Valkyrie to the woods and perching in the Roofnest to do the same. I am a biologist that loves the backcountry as much as I do campgrounds and this rig is the perfect in between. I love sharing so others can recharge and have fun in the Pacific Northwest. No matter which direction you head-- the eastside, mountains, or the coast-- you really can't go wrong. The Metolius River is one of my very favorite places in Oregon. It's magical!

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
Times for pick-up and drop-off are pre-arranged, but flexible as the calendar allows. The Valkyrie will be waiting for you all day the first day of your rental. I will let you know if you have extra flexibility for return date.
Q.Are there any special tricks and tips that would help with operating the RV easily?
A.
Unlike RVs, this rig does not have a 'leveler'. Be sure to park on the flattest spot you can find for a comfortable sleep and so that the cooler shelf doesn't want to roll in or out on you.
