Situated in the shadow of the city of Houston, the small city of Humble may have slipped off your radar but that’s no reason to leave it off of your search for an RV rental. The city is blessed with an average of 204 days of sunshine each year, summer temperatures of around 94 degrees and winters temperatures of approximately 24 degrees. The city offers plenty of sporting activities as well as an ample supply of restaurants and boutique stores.

This Texan city was founded in the early 19th century and takes its name from the founder of the city’s first post office, Pleasant Smith Humble. The small settlement boomed into a city during the 20th century when oil fields began to spring up all over the county. Despite its industrial background, Humble is a fantastic place to rent an RV and visit nearby sites. Within a short distance of the city is the Lake Houston Wilderness Park and Jesse H. Jones Park and Nature Center, while inside the city center visitors can escape to one of the four city parks or visit one of Humble’s Museums.

The city is located just 31 miles from the Gulf Coast in the Houston-Sugar Land-Baytown Metro Area and can be reached in 20 minutes by taking the Interstate 69 north from Houston. The nearest airport is the George Bush Intercontinental Airport, located six miles away, or the William P. Hobby Domestic Airport which is 31 miles away.
