During the 1940s and 1950s, regions of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metro experienced several severe floods, which came just as the cities and the surrounding towns were experiencing astonishing growth in population. State senator Joe Pool devised a strategy, which was to create a series of reservoirs to control the floods and also to give the growing towns a source of water during the dry years. After his unexpected death in 1968, one of the largest reservoirs was named after him. And thus Lake Joe Pool remains his legacy today.

Located a few short miles from Dallas, Lake Joe Pool is a popular destination, particularly during the summer months. Reflecting the wide-open blue sky, the glistening water takes on a blue sheen. We had another wonderful trip with Jayson's trailer. The layout of his trailer is our favorite. There was a small leak on the bathroom handle and the batteries are having trouble working so don't expect to boondock. I am sure he will fix it. He cares about his trailer because it is well maintained. He put in a new door lock and we love the new system!
We can't wait to take his trailer out again. Do not hesitate to rent this one.
