The center is home to one of five hatcheries operated by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, providing millions of fish to lakes and reservoirs across the state. Educational programs are at the heart of the center, explaining their role in conservation, plus there are wetland areas to explore. Heading a few miles north to Canton in your rental RV will bring you to Yesterland Farms. Originally opened as a small farm, it has grown rapidly and offers a host of attractions. There are various amusement rides, farm animals to interact with, face-painting, a three-acre corn maze, and much more. The farm opens during specific seasons, such as Fall and Christmas, and provides events and attractions to match the season. The Fall Festival is one of their biggest events, with live music, a car show, and lots of pumpkin-themed entertainment. With so much to do, it’s an all-day entertainment spot for the kids. The closest town to the park is Eustace, just a mile south, and it has all the necessary facilities, such as a gas station and a number of stores for all your essentials.
