One of the main attractions that first-timers love to visit is the torpedo warehouse. This magnificent brick building was used to house firing triggers for underwater torpedos. The structure also contains many underwater mine exhibits that were used during WWII.
Camping at Manchester State Park
Visitors camping in an RV in Manchester State Park will be glad to hear that there are around 15 sites with water and electric hookups. Out of the park's 50 campsites, the remaining 35 are primitive. There's also a dump station near the camp entrance. Each space comes equipped with a picnic table and fire ring.
Exploring the Area
Motorhome camping makes it convenient for you to hit the road when you feel like it and explore the surrounding area. Just 15 minutes away from Manchester State Park is the Log Cabin Museum. Here, you'll get a better picture of what life at South Kitsap was like for the past century through rotating exhibits. To make the experience more engaging, the museum tells the story of the Orchard Family, which is a family of mannequins that lives in the cabin.

We recently rented Nik’s RV for a weekend getaway to the Oregon Coast, and it was a great experience from start to finish. The RV was exactly as advertised; clean, well-maintained, and surprisingly easy to drive, much like a large van.
Nik was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the process. He answered our texts quickly and also took time to talk through the RV’s operations over the phone, which made us feel much more comfortable as first-time RV renters.
Overall, we had a fantastic weekend and couldn’t have asked for a better first RV experience. We would absolutely rent from Nik again, especially for a longer adventure next time!

Nik’s RV was perfect for our family of 4 on a coastal camping trip. We stayed dry and comfortable. So lucky to have a good base camp for rainy spring evenings. The RV handles well and we found it perfect for the first RV trip. The size of the RV makes it easier to get in and out of parking lots and gas stations and allows for plenty of room at camp sites. It is well stocked with bedding, bathroom and kitchen wares.
