Anderson Lake State Park is one such place, several minutes’ drive south of town. This truly amazing nature park has gently rolling hills surrounding Anderson Lake itself. On the lake, you can enjoy some great fishing on a boat or swim around in its refreshing waters. Hiking, cycling, and horseback riding are all welcomed on the parks elaborate trail system.

City Attractions

While not technically an attraction, Port Townsend has a reputation for being a peaceful place full of historic buildings and vibrant Victorian mansions. A simple walk around town will yield some spectacular imagery, with a number of historical landmarks and architectural works of art. The Jefferson County Courthouse is quite a spectacle to behold, with elegant brickwork and amazing style. The town’s farmers market is one of many places to grab some tasty food, including locally sourced seafood, which is a major delicacy in the Puget Sound region.
