The Great Outdoors

Most visitors getting a camper rental in Newcastle choose it for its proximity to the Black Hills. Badlands National Park is a favorite among outdoor enthusiasts exploring America’s Great Plains region, and it’s just a short drive away from Newcastle. Hiking opportunities abound in this unique park as you explore the otherworldly rock formations. If you’re keen on doing some fossil hunting, Badlands is one of the richest deposits in the world, so keep your eyes peeled, and you might just find something interesting (don’t take it though, because it might be illegal).

RV Parks

While recreational opportunities are bountiful in this part of Wyoming, there aren’t too many RV parks to serve them. The Auto Inn Motel and RV Park on the west end of town is one of the few places that cater to RV travelers. Sites at the park have full hookups, and guests have access to the motel’s laundry facilities. Its proximity to the amenities of the city makes this one of the best options when you get an RV rental in Newcastle. There’s also the Crystal Park Campground on the east side of town, which is little more than a gravel parking lot with electrical hookups. Again, this is a good option for campers who want to stick close to town when getting a motorhome rental in Newcastle.

Exploring the City

Newcastle is a small town in a state filled with small towns that are far apart, so you’ll need to be creative when searching for attractions that don’t involve enjoying the great outdoors. The Anna Miller Museum is one of the best places to learn about Newcastle’s historical roots as it contains everything from dinosaur bones to Native American artifacts to pioneer-era clothing. While it might seem a bit eclectic at first, with an hour or two of exploring, you’ll get a fairly good sense of the town’s story.

Had a great trip to Spearfish, SD for the annual Dakota 5-0 mountain bike race! Jon was an excellent host - our camper was already delivered and ready for use by the time we made it to town. Would highly recommend renting from Jon and hope to do the same in the future. Thanks again!!

So accommodating! I thoroughly enjoyed my time! The drop off and pick up option from the airport was fantastic. The van was very cozy and stocked with everything you need. The yeti cooler being included was so awesome! I opted in for the paddle board and it was such a cool part of my trip. All of my questions were answered immediately. As a solo traveler I can’t express enough how much this means to me.
