Let's start with a few questions to narrow down your options.

The small California town of Colfax has gone by many names in its short history. Since it was first settled in the mid-19th century, it has been called Alder Grove, Alden Grove, Upper Coral, and Illinoistown, before finally becoming Colfax. The town was officially incorporated in 1910 and was named for the Vice President of the United States, Schuyler Colfax.
Colfax has thrived for most of its history due to its excellent location and good fortune. The Transcontinental Railroad was first built to go straight through the town, making it an important railway stop early on. The historic U.S Route 40 also connected Colfax to the outside world for many years, before Interstate 80 was built. Now Colfax is located about halfway between Sacramento, the state capital of California, and Reno in Nevada. Not far from the city, and only a short drive to the stunning Sierra Nevada Mountains makes Colfax an awesome place to rent an RV. Get a taste of the old west when you visit this lovely town in beautiful Northern California.
