Let's start with a few questions to narrow down your options.

Mason is an agricultural town in Mason County, Texas, and is the county seat. The town was first settled around Fort Mason in 1846; a post office was established in 1858, first as an addition to the fort but a few months later it was reassigned to the civilian community. After the end of the U.S. Civil War, returning soldiers and ranchers began a conflict over cattle rustling known as the Hoodoo Wars. A Texas Ranger, John Cooley, formed a gang that included famed western gunslinger Johnny Ringo. Other notable people who lived in Mason included author, journalist, and American West historian J. Marvin Hunter and Fred Gipson, author of the classic novel Old Yeller.
Book an RV in Mason County, and you can begin to explore this historic area much as the first settlers did (only in more comfortable surroundings). There are some other towns and cities that warrant a visit. Brady was a farming and ranching community in its past but has had industries such as a mohair-combing plant and sand-mining operations. San Saba is home to actor Tommy Lee Jones who was born there (San Saba is mentioned in Jones' film No Country for Old Men). Llano began as a frontier trading center. Junction was first known as Denman (after the surveyor who plotted the town) and then as Junction City before finally having its name shortened. Menard was originally known as Menardville but was asked by railroad companies laying track through the settlement to shorten its name (to make it easier to create signage). Your Mason travel trailer rental is how you will explore this scenic area in comfort and style.
