It’s one of the premier parks in America’s national park system if for no other reason than the sheer variety of ecosystems within its borders. On the western edge is the Hoh Rainforest, one of the most impressive temperate rainforests in the world. But on the eastern side is Hurricane Ridge, a desolate peak standing over 5,000 feet high. With a few days' time and a lot of effort, you can hike between these vastly different places and see the many changes in flora and fauna along the way.
