John is a great host. He was kind and welcoming from the first conversation till the moment I dropped the RV back! He was easy to get in touch, very clear with his instructions and very reasonable with his expectations as well. The RV was in supreme shape, very well maintained and smooth to ride through hills and flat terrain. The RV was also clean, well stocked and very comfortable to ride for our entire family. We will happily consider John for our future RV adventures.

Frequently asked questions

Q.

How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?

A.

We will provide a guide to you in advance of your trip and you will be required to go through a 30 minute orientation when you pick up the RV. If you are an inexperienced camper we highly recommend you go to an RV site that has "hook ups" for water, electricity and sewage. This will make your experience much easier. However if you will be "boon docking" it with no hook ups we have instructions about how to manage the battery power onboard the RV, use the generator, etc.

Q.

What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?

A.

The RV will be ready for pick-up by 9am. Drop off time 4pm. If you would like to pick the RV a half day sooner to facilitate an early departure the day, we can accommodate if schedules allow and will charge a $120 fee.

Q.

Are there any special tips and tricks that help with operating the RV?

A.

We will provide a guide to you in advance of your trip and you will be required to go through a 30 minute orientation when you pick up the RV. The hardest thing is draining and black and gray water tanks. We will show you how to do that, but if you don't feel comfortable doing it we will do it for you for a fee of $125.

Hi! We’re John and Carolyn from Northern California. I’m in the music industry (yes, I’ve actually worked with rock stars), and Carolyn’s a local luxury realtor who can spot a dream home—or campsite—from a mile away. We love hitting the road, camping by rivers, playing music under the stars, and pretending we’re on tour (even if it’s just with marshmallows and a ukulele). Nature, travel, and a good playlist are our happy place.
