Congress, Arizona is a small town, located in the central portion of the state. The town is situated off of US 60, and the nearest large city is Phoenix, around 80 miles to the southwest. This large metropolitan area, combined with several recreation areas (including several National Forests, a National Wildlife Refuge and a National Monument) that are spread around the local region, provide ample activities for your enjoyment. The Great Outdoors

When you book an RV in Congress, you will have access to several unique attractions, including The Granite 19 Hotshots Memorial. This site is located less than 8 miles from Congress, in Yarnell, AZ. The memorial was built in memory of the Hotshots team that lost their lives fighting a wildfire in the local area. Be prepared for a lengthy hike in the hot sun to reach the actual memorial. There is a small gift shop on site that is manned by rangers at certain times. The Prescott National Forest is located around 50 miles to the north. The attraction is open year-round, though some buildings or roads may be closed during the flood and winter season. Please check with park rangers for current conditions. The park provides numerous recreational opportunities including hiking, fishing, camping and enjoying scenic drives. This area is also a prime spot for spotting wildlife. The Sonoran Desert National Monument, located around 80 miles to the south, is open year-round. This site features a "forest" of saguaro cactus. Please note, there is no water available on site. Also, expect cellphone service to be spotty. Please call for current road conditions as they can vary greatly based on weather.

My kids have been on many vacations over the years and their exact words were “this was the best vacation ever!”. That should explain everything you need to know. Everything was as advertised. Communication was easy and owners were always nice and accommodating. Would definitely recommend to anyone renting an RV for their first time!
