Semi-developed sites are located in the Desert Tortoise Campground and have a covered ramada, picnic tables, barbecue grills and fire rings. Restrooms and shower facilities are available for all campsites.

To camp in an RV near Lake Pleasant, drive to Pleasant Harbor Marina and RV Resort. The resort has over 300 campsites offering varied amenities like full-hookups, water, sewers, a dump station, restrooms and showers, laundry facilities, picnic areas, WiFi and cell phone coverage, camp store and full service marina. The kids will enjoy the basketball court, horseshoe and pickleball pits. There are a heated pool and spa for relaxing too.

Exploring the Area

Maricopa County campers have plenty to explore in the Lake Pleasant area. Not too far away is the city of Phoenix, less than an hour from Lake Pleasant. Phoenix is full of really cool things to do, and you’ll have a tough time deciding what to see on your visit.

Take the kids to Phoenix Zoo, one of the city’s top attractions. Located in Papago Park, the zoo is home to lions, bears, giraffes, and elephants.
