Hickman is a small agricultural town located south of the banks of the Tuolumne River, one and a half miles from the city of Waterford in Central California. Being so close to the river and blessed with fertile lands, Hickman naturally grew into a ranching and farming area. It also became a shipping point for grains and livestock, particularly cattle and wheat. Hickman was named after a former merchant and mayor of Stockton, Louis M. Hickman, who relocated to Hickman in the 1860s after taking the hand of a local lady, Mary Dallas.

East of Hickman is the Yosemite National Park, accessible via Highway 120. What a great experience! Before reserving the camper we messaged the host to ask about pickup and drop off times - he got back to us within minutes and was generously accommodating. Everything was ready to roll when we arrived, and the camper was super clean and in great shape. Everything we needed for a quick and easy setup at the campsite was on board and ready to go.

Jeremy is a very accommodating host. His camper van is in excellent condition and is easy to use. Jeremy provided a good overview before we left and answered one question while we were on the road. We had a wonderful trip to the Pinnacles.
