The Great Outdoors
When you book an RV in Indian Wells, you’ll be just minutes away from some of the best state and national parks in California. The Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains National Monument is just minutes away from the city. This national monument is a veritable hiker’s paradise with numerous trails throughout the park, including short afternoon hikes like the Museum Trail and North Lykken Trail and strenuous, lengthy trails like the Bear Creek Oasis Trail and the trails in the Indian Canyons. Mountain biking and horseback riding are also permitted in some areas of the monument.
RV Parks
Since this is a resort town near many major parks, you’ll find plenty of places to park your camper rental near Indian Wells. If you want to stay close to nature, then you can stay at campgrounds in any of the parks listed above. At the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains National Monument, you can park your Indian Wells camper rental at the Pinyon Flats Campground, which offers sites with very limited amenities. The campgrounds at Joshua Tree offer a few more amenities - the Black Rock and Cottonwood campgrounds offer flush toilets, drinking water, and a dump station, but no hookups are available anywhere in the park.
Exploring the City
Indian Wells is relatively small but it’s surrounded by vibrant resort communities where you’ll find plenty to do. If you have kids in tow, you can head to the Living Desert Zoo and Gardens to view and interact with native plants and wildlife or you can head to the La Quinta Museum, which has exhibits on the history of the area. Golfers will also delight in the numerous courses in the area and shoppers can head to the El Paseo shopping district in Palm Desert.

We had three people using the trailer and it worked great. Carlos was very accommodating and worked with our schedule, though it does take some time to communicate through outdoorsy. There were a few things we noticed about the trailer and let Carlos know right away, he plans to fix or replace the items. The trailer came with enough plates and silverware for the 3 of us, along with paper towels, TP, dish & handles soap. The beds have sheets, pillows, and comforters. Thank you Carlos for sharing your trailer with us!
