Mount Diablo State Park offers stunning views of its surrounding hills and valleys, and visitors can either drive or hike to the top. Briones Regional Park is another scenic area that features multi-use trails through grassy hills and shaded canyons, and visitors can hike to the top of Briones Peak, which offers views of the Diablo Valley, the Sacramento River delta, and the East Bay Hills. John Muir National Historic Site also offers gorgeous views along with a unique slice of California history. Visitors to the park can explore historic landmarks like the Muir/Strentzel Home and the Martinez Adobe, or they can hike to the top of Mount Wanda.

Since the city is conveniently located near many major urban areas, there are plenty of places to park the RV rental near Lafayette. Duck Island RV Park in Rio Vista is an option for RVers looking to get away from the hustle and bustle while having modern amenities like full hookups, on-site fishing docks, and off-leash dog areas. If you want to get a bit deeper into nature, head to Anthony Chabot Regional Park or Mount Diablo State Park with the Lafayette camper rental. This van was perfect for our Yosemite trip, and far surpassed our expectations! It was almost new, very clean, easy to drive, and fit into regular parking spots (many parking areas in Yosemite don’t allow RVs, but vans are allowed.). The retractable awning was a big plus when it started to rain. It came fully stocked with kitchen, bedding, and bathroom supplies. And everything they put inside was high quality. All we needed to bring was food and clothes. We loved being able to have a hot shower inside after a long day of hiking. The hosts are super nice, and promptly answered all our questions before the trip. Even reached out to them once during the trip and they answered right away. We highly recommend renting this van!

Crystal and Peter are amazing hosts. This is the second year in a row that I have rented from them and it was once again an outstanding experience. The RV is very clean, modern, and fully equipped. Crystal and Peter do an excellent job making sure you have everything you could possibly need for a great camping weekend including chairs, table, mat, etc outside the RV. I will definitely rent from them again! Highly recommend!
