The Great Outdoors
As you drive a few miles in your motorhome rental from Montara, you arrive at Crystal Springs Reservoir. Formed from two artificial lakes, the reservoir runs along the rift valley caused by the San Andreas Fault. Although not open to the public, there are hiking trails around the reservoir for you to enjoy on a family outing.
RV Parks
Pillar Point RV Park is located a very short drive from the city and a great place to park your Montara camper rental for a night or two. The park is located on the beach and next to a six-mile walking and biking trail. Full RV hookup sites are available along with WiFi, TV service and a restaurant. The park doesn’t take reservations and operates on a first come first served basis, so it’s advised to check in early!
Exploring the City
With its seaside location and traditional homes, a stroll around the pretty Montara town is well worth the effort. A good walk will also build up an appetite, and you won’t go hungry here. Along with standard American fare, you’ll find Mexican, Peruvian restaurants and even an airplane themed diner.
