Pleasant Hill is a small city in Contra Costa County, in the East Bay area of San Francisco. Prior to 1920, Pleasant Hill was farmland which was then subdivided for housing. There is a statue, Soldiers Memorial Monument, dedicated to the soldiers who fought in World War I; it was originally located at Monument Boulevard (named after the statue) but was later moved to another location.

The Great Outdoors

East of Pleasant Hill, Mount Diablo (Devil's Mountain) is a nice place to hike and enjoy the scenery. Visitors can hike to the top, take a mountain bike tour or drive to the top and hike the summit; taking your Pleasant Hill luxury RV rental to the top is not advisable, as the road is winding. On a clear day the view is spectacular but you should check the weather forecast as the clouds can shut out the view if they roll in. There are restrooms and a visitors center here. Farther down the mountain, hikers can park at the Junction Ranger Station and hike the Summit Trail, or park along North Gate Road to hike Angel Kerley Road (which is smaller and possibly too rough for driving). Park your Pleasant Hill RV rental here and enjoy the outdoors, knowing that comfort awaits you when you are finished.

RV Parks

There are very few RV parks in the San Francisco Bay area and not many in Pleasant Hill, but there are some within a reasonable distance of the city where you can set up camp with the Pleasant Hill motorhome rental.

Exploring The City

There are at least two museums in Pleasant Hill, one historical and the other dedicated to local vegetation. There are also two gardens where visitors can view and learn about different species of plant life. One garden is small in size and takes about a half hour to view at a normal walking pace. There are plants for sale here, grab one for your Pleasant Hill travel trailer rental to make your home on wheels even more pleasant. The other garden, located in nearby Walnut Creek, has ponds and a variety of birds for viewing or photographing.

Katie was super friendly, this was our first time renting an RV from Outdoorsy. She was very patient with us, explained everything, showed how to operate the controls. Will rent again.

Our family had a wonderful experience. Edwin had everything organized, cleaned and ready to go when we picked up the Storyteller. We really appreciated the outstanding communication through the whole experience. We would absolutely rent from Edwin again. Thank you so much for making our first experience so easy.

First time staying in a campervan. My husband and I loved it. Having a bathroom and a bed off the ground and an overhead light was great! The camper drove easily, no problem on the freeway or windy roads. So much storage inside the van!
Mike was very easy to communicate with and gave a good orientation. We will definitely rent from him again.
