Nicolai’s “Katusha” ran like a champ. This vancamper felt like it just rolled off the dealer floor. We appreciated Nicolai taking the time to review all its features prior to our trip. It was enough space for my wife, my mother, our dog Skip and myself. Although Nicolai accepts pets, make sure no pet hair remains when you return it. In March 2024, we took it to the Russian River Valley using Harvest Hosts camping sites on wineries and farms (Pocket Creek Farm & Tara Bella Winery). Although it is not equipped with an awning, we truly enjoyed its amenities since it was cozy inside during the rainstorms. The cabin coach heater was very helpful since we had ‘shore power’ on 2 of the three sites we stayed. One more thing, “Katusha” has everything you might need for a ‘turnkey’ camping trip. I can imagine a couple flying out to California and having this thing ready to ‘roll’ for their trip. I’ve already recommended Nicolai to a few friends and family!

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience renting Katusha from Nikolai. Nikolai was flexible in coordinating check out and return. The checkout experience with Nikolai was thorough and pleasant. The RV was in excellent condition. Nikolai provided plenty of bedding and lots of kitchen items. The RV is quite easy to handle. We drove on some very narrow and winding (and windy) roads and had no problems managing it. Setup and take down of the pop top and table are pretty quick and easy. Swiveling the driver’s seat around to face the table is a bit awkward but manageable. Our fuel efficiency was about 16 MPG.
We recommend Katusha renting from Nikolai.

Fantastic van and experience. Exploring California in Nicolai's van was awesome. The van is fully equipped with everything you need to camp both on and off grid. We took an 8 day trip with 2 small kids up highway 1 to Redwoods national park and stayed at state parks and roadsides along the way. The van is easy to drive, park, and set up. It's almost new with low miles. It's exactly as described in the listing and more. Nicolai is extremely responsive and made extending our rental by one day an easy experience. I can't recommend renting this van enough.
