Frequently asked questions

Q.

What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?

A.

Message owner to discuss pick up and drop off time options.

Q.

How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?

A.

There is a hose included for connecting to campground water, as well as a 20' (approx) electric cable to hook up to campground power source. There are greywater and blackwater storage tanks on the rig, both MUST be emptied and flushed by the renter prior to camper return. If you use the toilet you'll be responsible for dumping and flushing the blackwater tank - we generally don't use the toilet ourselves if we're at a campground with bathrooms, but that's up to you.

Q.

What size ball hitch is needed for towing and what type of wiring harness is required?

A.

Ball hitch is 2 5/16" (if you have the removable square-mounted hitch you can borrow our ball). Wiring harness is a standard 7-pin.

We are outdoor-loving family of 4 who love adventuring, whether it's in our own backyard in Southern Maine or further afield. We shifted from backpackers to car campers when we had babies but love all of the above, now that our 2 kids are in a little older. We bought our first rental camper in the summer of 2021, which we plan to eventually take ourselves on a journey to see the whole country.
